The Russian occupation administration announced the closure of the Crimean Bridge late on Friday night, June 21. The announcement was made via the Telegram channel “Crimean Bridge: Operational Information,” stating that vehicle traffic across the bridge was temporarily halted.

“Those on the bridge and in the viewing area are asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security personnel,” the channel said.

Earlier, the so-called governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, declared an air alert in the city. Additionally, Crimean social media accounts reported explosions near Cape Fiolent and other areas of the occupied peninsula.

The reason for the bridge closure was not officially stated, but such measures are typically taken when there is a threat of attack or during military activities. The Crimean Bridge, which connects Russia to the occupied peninsula, has been a target of multiple Ukrainian attacks since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.

No casualties or damage have been reported. The situation is being monitored.
