Russian-occupied territories left without electricity after drone attack
On the night of June 29, massive power outages occurred in Russian-occupied parts of Kherson region, Crimea, and Donetsk following a drone attack.

On the night of June 29, temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine — including parts of the Kherson region, Crimea, and Donetsk — experienced widespread power outages after a drone attack. In Crimea, multiple explosions were reported in Sevastopol and Kerch. According to local residents, an electrical substation near the village of Nekrasivka in the Bakhchysarai district was likely damaged, leading to a blackout in that area.
Additionally, a fire broke out in occupied Melitopol following the nighttime drone strike. Around midnight, electricity was also lost in occupied Donetsk. In the morning, Vladimir Saldo, the head of the occupied part of the Kherson region, confirmed the blackout, stating that all districts of the Kherson region were either fully or partially without power.
It is worth noting that on June 26, a similar large-scale blackout occurred in occupied Kherson region, which the occupiers attributed to an accident in the energy system of neighboring Zaporizhzhia region. Earlier, the Russian-controlled company "Krymenergo" had announced the introduction of power outage schedules and restrictions on the peninsula.
