Russian missile strike near Kyiv kills 10 at weapons exhibition
A Russian ballistic missile hit a defence industry event in the Kyiv region, killing 10 and injuring nearly 100. President Zelenskyy condemned holding such exhibitions during wartime.

A Russian ballistic missile strike in Ukraine's Kyiv region on Friday killed 10 people and injured nearly 100 others, hitting a defence industry event. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address that such a weapons exhibition should never have taken place under wartime conditions. The event was hosted by a drone manufacturers' association and was located a short drive from the outskirts of the capital. Acting governor of Kyiv region, Ruslan Oliynyk, said a day of mourning would be observed on Saturday.
Other attacks in Ukraine
On the same day, a Russian aerial bomb attack killed five and injured nine in the city of Sloviansk, regional governor Vadym Filashkin said. He later reported a new strike on the city that evening wounded 16 people and damaged residential buildings. In the northern Sumy region, a Russian drone strike killed two people, according to regional governor Oleh Hryhorov. In Zaporizhzhia, a Russian strike set a shopping centre on fire, injuring a number of people.
Zelenskyy interview and drone cooperation
US right-wing influencer Laura Loomer visited Ukraine and met Zelenskyy. In an interview, the president said cooperation with Washington on drones would include a US factory to produce unmanned aerial vehicles using Ukraine's advanced technology. He said Kyiv wanted to build quickly on an initial agreement on drones, calling the deal win-win. He also expects to meet Donald Trump in Washington next week.
Attacks in Russia
The acting governor of Russia's Belgorod region reported a "massive enemy drone attack" on the city of Belgorod early Saturday, causing damage and fires, with wounded taken to hospitals. Ukrainian strikes on warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest e-commerce company, have destroyed billions of dollars worth of goods belonging to ordinary people and small businesses.
