Russian Missile Strikes on Pryluky Kill and Injure Residents
Russian forces fired a series of missiles at the Chernihiv Oblast city of Pryluky on the morning of 7 October. A high-rise residential building, a children's and youth creativity centre and a business were hit, leaving people dead and injured.

Russia launched a series of missile strikes on the city of Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast at around 06:00 on 7 October, according to the National Police of Ukraine's Chernihiv Oblast department.
The police said hits were recorded on a high-rise residential building, a children's and youth creativity centre, and a business. People were killed and others were injured in the attack. The source does not give an exact number of casualties.
Rescue operation
Emergency services, police, rescue workers and medics are working at the scene. Rescuers are continuing to clear rubble, and police officers are also taking part in the effort.
Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration, confirmed that an apartment block had been struck.
Other attacks on 7 October
The same day, Russian forces also targeted other Ukrainian cities. In Kremenchuk, in Poltava Oblast, a residential area was hit and high-rise buildings were damaged. In Oleksandriia, in Kirovohrad Oblast, critical infrastructure facilities were attacked in the morning, and people were injured.
The figures on casualties in Pryluky may change as rescue work continues and more information is gathered.
