Missile danger declared in several Russian regions; Moscow reports drone attack

Overnight into Monday, missile danger was declared in multiple Russian regions, while Moscow's mayor reported the downing of 27 drones that were heading towards the capital.

On the night of July 20, missile danger was declared in the Moscow region and at least 13 other Russian regions, according to Russian propagandists and officials. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced a drone attack, claiming that 27 unmanned aerial vehicles heading toward Moscow were shot down. Residents were warned of potential internet disruptions.

In addition to the Moscow region, missile danger was declared in the Yaroslavl, Tver, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Novgorod, Vologda, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Kaluga, Voronezh, Tambov, and Tula regions. Sobyanin did not provide details on casualties or damage, only stating that emergency services were working at the debris fall sites. Social media videos showed impacts in the Moscow region.
