Russian forces have destroyed a rehabilitation centre for children and people with disabilities in Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. The attack occurred on the afternoon of 18 July in the village of Rybtsi, Sumy district, according to local media outlet Kordon.Media, citing sources.
The strike completely destroyed the building by fire. The centre provided rehabilitation services for children and adults with disabilities, including physical and psychological recovery, as well as developing everyday living, communication and learning skills. The facility also housed a hippotherapy unit and a large stable.
Kordon.Media reported that information on possible casualties is being confirmed. The centre's director, Olena Sushchenko, posted photos showing the aftermath of the strike.
