Russian troops launched a double strike on a train's locomotive and passenger carriages in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, but no casualties were reported as passengers and staff were evacuated safely.

Russian forces carried out a double strike on the locomotive and passenger carriages of a train in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine’s Ministry for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport reported. Minister Mykola Kalashnyk stated that no one was injured in the attack. He noted that all passengers and railway staff were moved to safety thanks to the work of a monitoring group and the swift response of railway workers. Kalashnyk emphasized that Russia continues to deliberately target civilian railway infrastructure, but train services and the operation of Ukraine's railway system are continuing without interruption. The ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia, is working to strengthen the resilience of railway transport amid ongoing Russian attacks.
