Death toll from Russian strike on Kyiv rises to 30
Three more bodies were recovered from the rubble in Kyiv, raising the death toll from the Russian attack to 30, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service.

Rescue workers have recovered three more bodies from the rubble of a destroyed section of a residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, increasing the death toll from the Russian attack to 30. The update was provided by Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
The attack occurred on the night of 1–2 July. Russian forces launched a large-scale combined strike using attack drones as well as air-, land-, and sea-launched missiles. A total of 570 aerial assets were launched. Ukraine's air defense systems intercepted 524 of them. However, 25 ballistic missiles and 12 attack drones reached their targets.
Kyiv was the primary target of the assault. As of midday on 2 July, 27 people had been confirmed dead and nearly 90 injured. The death toll has now risen to 30 following the latest recoveries.
