Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia kills 2, injures 21

A Russian attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on July 3 killed two people and injured 21, including two children.

Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on Wednesday, July 3, killing two people and injuring 21, according to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration.

Initially, 17 injured were reported, but the number later rose to 21. Among the wounded are two children: a 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. The oldest victim is a 76-year-old man, and the youngest is an 11-year-old boy.

Three people are in serious condition. A total of 12 people have been taken to hospital, with nine admitted and three undergoing medical examinations. Fedorov stated that the injuries were caused by shrapnel.

The administration released photos showing the aftermath of the attack and rescue efforts. The casualty count may continue to rise.
