Russia strikes Zaporizhzhia with guided bombs: one dead, 11 injured including two children

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs on June 28, killing one person and injuring 11, including two children. A separate strike on a neighboring village left three more injured.

Russian troops launched an attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the morning of June 28 using guided aerial bombs. Initial reports indicated two injuries, but later it was confirmed that one of the casualties was a child. By 13:25, the number of injured had risen to 11. Medical assistance was provided to three men, six women, and two children – a five-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. The attack caused significant damage across the city and sparked a fire. Authorities later confirmed one fatality.

In a separate incident, Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on the village of Shevchenkivske in the Zaporizhzhia district. A house was destroyed, a vehicle was completely burned, and a fire broke out. Three people were injured: two women aged 94 and 68, and a 68-year-old man. All received necessary medical treatment.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, reported the attack and published photos of the aftermath.
