Russian strikes hit Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, injuring four
Russia attacked the Ukrainian regions of Odesa and Zaporizhzhia overnight with drones and missiles. Four people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, while Odesa reported no casualties but damage to firefighting equipment.

Russian forces struck the southern Ukrainian cities of Odesa and Zaporizhzhia overnight into Monday, 26 October, as part of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Four people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, while no casualties were reported in the Odesa region.
Odesa
According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, firefighters in Odesa were putting out a blaze at a private industrial facility when Russian forces hit the same location twice more. The crews took shelter and were not hurt, but fire and rescue equipment was damaged. More than 50 rescuers were deployed.
At a second site in the region, four garages were damaged, a fire broke out and one car was destroyed. Authorities reported no casualties from the Odesa attacks.
Zaporizhzhia
In Zaporizhzhia, the overnight attack damaged private homes, a hotel, two buses and outbuildings. Three cars and dry vegetation caught fire, and rescuers searched the area for anyone who might be trapped.
Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the regional military administration, first reported two injured, then raised the figure to four: two women aged 22 and 30, and two men aged 40 and 61.
Scale of the drone and missile attack
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 140 Shahed-type attack drones and decoys overnight, including 70 jet-powered drones. Air defences shot down or suppressed 112 of them, among them 56 jet-powered aircraft, as well as three Kh-59/69 guided missiles.
On Monday morning, emergency crews remained at the impact sites to extinguish fires, assess structural damage and restore services.
