Russian strikes hit Odesa ports and Zaporizhzhia apartment blocks overnight on July 13
Russian forces attacked Ukrainian ports in Odesa region and residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia overnight. No deaths were reported, but several people were injured.
On the night of July 13, Russian forces carried out strikes on Ukrainian ports in the Odesa region. Russia's Defense Ministry said the attacks targeted port infrastructure in Chornomorsk, which it claimed was used to store military cargo. The head of Odesa's military administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that three people were wounded in the strikes. The attacks hit the grounds of a motor transport company, setting buses on fire, and damaged four private homes.
Earlier on the evening of July 12, the head of the Odesa region, Oleh Kiper, reported that one Russian drone struck the upper floors of a multistory residential building in the Odesa district, and another damaged the roof of a building supply store.
In the city of Zaporizhzhia, six people—including a child—were wounded in a Russian drone attack late on July 12, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service. Apartments on the second through fourth floors of an apartment building caught fire. Across the Zaporizhzhia region, 13 people were injured in Russian strikes over the past day, and 11 multistory buildings were damaged, local authorities reported.
