Russian forces attacked Kherson on the morning of July 9, damaging a power transmission line and leaving part of the city without electricity. Yaroslav Shanko, Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, stated that experts are assessing the extent of the damage and emergency crews have begun repairing the infrastructure. Temporary rolling power outages may be introduced in Kherson's Tsentralnyi (Central) district while repair work is underway.
Earlier on July 9, Russian forces struck a civilian car in Kherson with a drone, killing two civilians.
