Russian attack on Kyiv kills 2, injures 20
A Russian overnight attack on Kyiv on July 2 killed 2 people and injured 20. 28 locations across the city were damaged, mostly residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

The Russian military launched a massive attack on Kyiv overnight on July 2, using drones, ballistic and cruise missiles. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that as of 5:10 a.m., 20 injured were confirmed, with two earlier reported dead.
The attack damaged 28 locations across the city, primarily residential areas and civilian infrastructure. The Kyiv region also came under attack, with damage recorded in five districts.
On July 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike against Ukraine. The overnight attack confirmed these threats.
