Number of injured in Russian attack on Kyiv rises to 20

The number of people injured in Russia's September 17 missile and drone attack on Kyiv has risen to 20, with five hospitalized, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has announced that the number of people injured in Russia's September 17 attack on the Ukrainian capital has risen to 20. Five of the injured are currently being treated in city hospitals.

The attack took place overnight on September 17, when Russian forces struck Kyiv with missiles and drones. Among those injured were two children.

Damage to city infrastructure

The attack damaged residential buildings, educational institutions, an administrative building, offices, gas stations, warehouses, cars and railway infrastructure. Precise figures on the extent of material damage have not yet been released.

Ukrainian authorities continue to assess the consequences of the attack and the number of victims.
