A Russian attack on Ukraine's Kyiv region on the morning of August 28 killed one person and left two others injured, according to Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko.

Tkachenko said the strike killed a person in the Bucha district. Another man suffered multiple shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized in a local hospital. In the Fastiv district, a woman was injured, sustaining cuts to her arm; she is receiving the necessary medical care.

Tkachenko also reported that the attack damaged civilian sites across several districts of the Kyiv region, including Fastiv, Boryspil, Vyshhorod, Brovary and Bucha. According to preliminary data, 14 warehouse facilities, 16 private homes, three apartment buildings and 16 vehicles were damaged. Emergency services are working at the sites to record the consequences of the attack and assist affected residents.

The attack followed an earlier strike overnight into August 28, when a Russian drone destroyed a Nova Poshta sorting depot in Sviatopetrivske, part of the Bilohorodka community in the Bucha district, and damaged a nearby production facility located close by.
