Kyiv region governor Tymur Tkachenko said Saturday that at least 27 people were killed and 42 injured in an overnight Russian air strike. More than 380 residents are being evacuated from the affected area.

Ukrainian strike on Rostov region

Overnight, Ukraine's armed forces launched a large-scale air strike on Russia's southern Rostov region, hitting several major warehouse complexes. Affected sites included an Ozon online retailer logistics center, a warehouse belonging to electronics seller DNS, and a distribution center for the Chizhik grocery chain. Ozon said a small fire broke out at its facility in Rostov-on-Don but was quickly extinguished, though operations there were temporarily suspended. Another Ozon logistics center in the region was evacuated as a precaution, though the facility itself was not damaged.

A DNS warehouse in the town of Aksay was also reportedly hit. Rostov region governor Yuri Slyusar said the towns of Rostov-on-Don and the Aksay, Bagayevka and Neklinovka districts came under attack. Seven people were injured, including two adults and two children who were hospitalized. In Rostov's Proletarsky district, drone debris damaged two apartment buildings, while windows were shattered in several homes in Bagayevka district.

Drone attacks and losses

Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses shot down 313 fixed-wing drones overnight over 12 regions. Ukraine reported hitting 1,394 targets, including 387 Russian soldiers, 155 of whom were killed, along with drone launch positions and equipment.

Citing Western officials, The Guardian reported that Russia is losing roughly 6,000 more troops per month than it can recruit, despite recruiting around 1,000 people daily. Ukrainian intelligence also claims Russia is recruiting Indonesian citizens for the war, offering high salaries and expedited citizenship.
