According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, there is damage to the building. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that preliminary information indicates five people were injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and medics are on site. Additionally, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Holosiivskyi district. On July 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike against Ukraine, which was followed by the overnight attack on the capital.
