Russian occupying forces struck the village of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region overnight on Sunday, killing a man and injuring four civilians, according to Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration.
Four wounded, homes destroyed
Semikin said the injured included one woman and three men, who sustained wounds of varying severity. One house was completely destroyed in the strike, and several nearby buildings were damaged.
Repeated attacks on the same village
This was not the first recent attack on Komyshuvakha. On September 21, Russian forces struck a passenger minibus in the same village with a drone, killing one passenger and wounding three others.
On the morning of September 25, occupying forces attacked a civilian car driving along a street in Komyshuvakha with an FPV drone. The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and its driver was wounded.
Other nearby settlements in the Zaporizhzhia district have also come under attack in recent weeks. Overnight on August 22, Russian forces struck the village of Kushuhum with a drone, killing one person and wounding four others. On the evening of September 22, a Russian attack on Kushuhum killed a man.
Zaporizhzhia region continues to face regular Russian drone and artillery strikes affecting both military and civilian sites.
