The Russian army attacked Poltava region on July 13, according to the head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Dyakivnych. The attack involved unmanned aerial vehicles.

Dyakivnych stated that during the day, an enemy drone struck a private household in the Myrhorod district. The hit caused a fire in a farm building, which was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service units. Initially, three people were reported injured and received medical assistance. Later, the official announced that one of the injured had died in hospital from sustained wounds.

Another drone targeted the territory of an agricultural enterprise. No further details on damage or casualties from that strike have been released yet.

Poltava region, located in central Ukraine, is regularly subjected to Russian airstrikes despite the front line being farther east.
