Russian forces struck a residential area of Zaporizhzhia on the evening of 28 August, injuring four people, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration.

Those hurt include two men, aged 65 and 40, along with a 17-year-old girl and a 68-year-old woman.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that the strike destroyed a house and sparked a fire. The force of the blast and scattered debris also damaged neighboring homes and outbuildings in the area.

Second strike on the city that day

The evening attack followed an earlier strike on the morning of 28 August, when Russian forces hit an Epicentr shopping centre in Zaporizhzhia, triggering a fire that spread across roughly 2,000 square metres. That morning attack also left four people injured.
