Russia attacks Ukraine: Odessa hit by missiles, casualties reported; Verkhovna Rada approves cabinet without two ministers
Russia has struck the Odessa region for the seventh consecutive day, while five guided bombs hit Sumy, injuring children. Twelve more 'shadow fleet' ships were attacked in the Black Sea. SBU chief Yevgeny Khmaro will serve as acting defense minister.

Russian forces have been targeting the Odessa region for the seventh day in a row. The missile attacks have resulted in fatalities. At the same time, the city of Sumy came under assault with five guided bombs dropped from aircraft, leaving two children wounded.
In the Black Sea, attacks continue against vessels of the so-called Russian 'shadow fleet' — ships used to transport oil and other goods while evading international sanctions. Another 12 such ships have been struck.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has approved the composition of the new government, but two ministerial posts remain vacant. The duties of the defense minister will be carried out by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Yevgeny Khmaro.
