Eight injured in Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces struck two districts of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 40 times on August 27, injuring eight people and damaging residential and civilian buildings.
Eight people were injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region on August 27, regional administration head Oleksandr Ganzha reported. According to him, enemy forces struck two districts of the region almost 40 times using drones, artillery and an aerial bomb.
Nikopol district hit hardest
The Nikopol district bore the brunt of the attacks, with strikes hitting Nikopol itself as well as the Marhanets, Pokrovske and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A lyceum, a college, shops, an apartment building and vehicles were damaged. A strike on central Nikopol injured six people — three were hospitalized, while the other three will receive outpatient treatment.
Two more people were injured in the Pokrovske community. A 65-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition, while a 59-year-old man will be treated on an outpatient basis.
Damage in Synelnykove district
The Synelnykove district also came under attack, with strikes hitting the Vasylkivka and Petropavlivka communities, damaging private homes there.
Earlier reports had indicated five people were injured in a Russian artillery strike on central Nikopol; the updated toll shows the number of casualties has since risen.
