One killed and eight injured in Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast

Russian forces attacked settlements in Kherson Oblast on 3 August, killing a civilian and injuring eight people, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces attacked several settlements in Kherson Oblast on 3 August, using aircraft, tube and rocket artillery, and various types of drones. According to a statement from the Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office and the regional military administration, by 17:30 one person had been confirmed dead and eight injured. The figures cover incidents recorded since the start of the day.

At approximately 13:30, a drone struck a civilian car in the city of Kherson. The driver, a 58-year-old man, died at the scene. Eight other people were injured in drone attacks in Kherson and the village of Sahaidachne, including a police officer.

About 15:00, another drone hit a 31-year-old woman in central Kherson. She suffered blast injuries and a concussion and is now receiving medical treatment. Officials said residential houses, apartment buildings, trucks, service vehicles and cars were also damaged in the attacks.

Earlier in the morning, Russian forces carried out four drone attacks on Kherson Oblast, wounding six people. By 17:30, the overall number of injured in the oblast had risen to eight, while one death was confirmed. The attacks continued throughout the day, with the latest reported incident taking place around 15:00.
