Two killed as Russian strike hits residential area in Kramatorsk

Russian forces struck the private housing sector of Kramatorsk in Donetsk region on Friday, September 11, damaging more than 20 homes and a car, killing two residents.

On Friday, September 11, Russian armed forces shelled the private housing sector of Kramatorsk, a city in Ukraine's Donetsk region. The attack damaged more than 20 private homes and a vehicle, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS).

According to the service, a total of 21 private houses were damaged in the strike. One of the projectiles hit a residential house directly, completely destroying it. The homeowner was trapped under the rubble and died at the scene from his injuries.

Rescuers reported that the attack killed two people in total.

Earlier strike on medical workers

Shortly before the Kramatorsk attack, Russian forces used a drone to strike an ambulance in the settlement of Krasnohorivka, also located in Donetsk region. That attack killed a medical worker and injured two other people.
