Russian comedian Semyon Slepakov has released a musical parody titled “A Little War,” set to the tune of Natasha Korolyova’s hit “A Little Country.”

In the new song, Slepakov criticizes Vladimir Putin (though not named, the target is clear) for launching a “small victorious war” against Ukraine — one the Kremlin expected to “be over in three days.” Instead, the full-scale war is in its fifth year. Russians, not just Ukrainians, are now suffering from shelling and drone strikes that have triggered a fuel crisis across regions.

The lyrics portray Putin hiding from Ukrainian drones and refusing to stop the fighting. Within four hours of posting, the song had drawn more than 60,000 likes on Instagram.
