Russian opposition figure: seized Russian assets should finally go to Ukraine
Russian opposition politician and economist Vladimir Milov told LSM that Ukraine should finally be given confiscated Russian assets, saying the war's economic toll on Russia is becoming increasingly visible despite Kremlin propaganda. He pointed to a growing budget deficit and rising taxes as signs of strain.

Russian opposition politician and economist Vladimir Milov said in an interview with LSM that confiscated Russian assets should finally be handed over to Ukraine.
According to Milov, Russia's budget deficit continues to grow, forcing authorities to raise taxes to cover war-related spending. He said this is happening even as Kremlin propaganda keeps trying to portray the Russian economy as stable and resilient.
War's toll becomes harder to hide
Milov argued that the real state of Russia's economy increasingly reveals the impact of the war, with the widening deficit and tax hikes signaling growing pressure on state finances. He stressed that these signs are difficult to conceal no matter how intense official propaganda becomes.
In this context, Milov called for finally resolving the question of Russian assets frozen in Western countries by transferring them to Ukraine. He did not go into detail in the interview about how such a step might be implemented.
