Drones Strike Railway Bridge Over North Crimean Canal in Crimea
On the night of June 18, drones attacked a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in occupied Crimea. Locals reported about 20 explosions, and the extent of damage remains unknown.

In the early hours of Wednesday, June 18, unmanned aerial vehicles struck a strategically important railway bridge spanning the North Crimean Canal in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to monitoring Telegram channels and the Russian outlet "Crimean Wind," the attack occurred near the village of Rozdolne in the Ichkinsky (Sovietsky) district.
Local residents reported hearing characteristic drone sounds followed by approximately 20 explosions. Videos posted on social media show drones approaching the bridge before powerful impacts.
In addition to the railway bridge, the nearby "humpback" automobile bridge also sustained damage. The extent of damage to both structures is currently unknown.
The railway line is of strategic importance to Russian occupation forces, as it is used to transport heavy equipment and fuel to Russian units on the southern front in Ukraine. Local occupation authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
This attack follows a pattern: on the night of June 17, Ukrainian defense forces struck two automobile bridges connecting the occupied part of the Kherson region with Crimea—one over the North Crimean Canal near Stavky and another near Voinika. That same night, Ukrainian military targeted a tanker of Russia's "shadow fleet," the FINA A, which was carrying petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions.
