Kristaps Dārgais ends career with semifinal at 'Kings of Air'; Polish winner

Latvian basketball dunker Kristaps Dārgais competed in his final 'Kings of Air' competition on Tuesday, July 1, 2026, at Grīziņkalns, stopping in the semifinals. In the event, where participants slam dunk the ball, the winner was Poland's Piotr Grabowski.
In the final, Grabowski faced Great Britain's Joel Henry, with the Pole's performance receiving higher marks from the judges and audience. The tournament also featured Norway's Bartosz Szwed, Britain's Jeremiah Skywalker, American Chris Staples, Ukrainian Dmytro Kryvenko, Italian Mattia Meneghini, Andris Gusts, and last year's winner Eduards Avotiņš.
Kristaps Dārgais won his first 'Kings of Air' title in 2018, sharing it with French athlete Guy Dupuis.
