On June 30, the Kings of Air dunk contest took place in Grīziņkalns, featuring Latvia's leading basketball dunker Kristaps Dārgais in his final career appearance at the event. Dārgais stopped in the semifinals.

In the final, Poland's Grabowski faced Great Britain's Joel Henry, with the Pole's performance earning higher marks from the judges and audience.

Other participants included Norwegian Bartosz Szwed (Bartošs Šveds), British Jeremiah Skywalker, American Chris Steplss, Ukrainian Dmytro Kryvenko, Italian Mattia Meneghini, Andris Gusts, and last year's champion Eduards Avotiņš.

Dārgais won his first Kings of Air title in 2018, sharing it with French athlete Guy Dupuy.
