Kristers Ansons leaves Latvian champions for Alps Hockey League
20-year-old forward Kristers Ansons is moving from Latvian champions Mogo/RSU to Italian club Wipptal Broncos in the Alps Hockey League for the upcoming season.

Latvian hockey forward Kristers Ansons will continue his career in the Alps Hockey League with Italian club Wipptal Broncos, as announced by the team.
The 20-year-old played last season for Latvian champions Mogo/RSU. In the regular season, he recorded 10 goals and 17 assists in 25 games. During the playoffs, Ansons added 6 goals and 4 assists in 11 contests, helping the Riga-based club in their title pursuit.
He also represented Latvia's U20 national team at the World Championship, tallying three goals and three assists in five games.
Wipptal Broncos were eliminated in the first round of the Alps Hockey League playoffs last season, losing 1-4 to Austrian side Zeller Eisbaren.
Ansons will join the Italian squad for the upcoming season, making his next professional step abroad.
