Kulbergs: Ministers' Work to Be Evaluated at Least Once a Month
Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs announced that the implementation of ministers' priority tasks will be assessed regularly, not only at the end of the government's term, but at least once a month.

After a closed government meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) told journalists that ministers' priority tasks will no longer be evaluated only at the end of the government's work, but at least once a month. He stated that the tasks will be compiled and reviewed at the Cabinet meeting on June 30.
Kulbergs acknowledged that not all ministers are accustomed to this approach, but he himself is results-oriented. The Prime Minister emphasized that ministers' tasks must align with the declaration, be achievable within four months, and be measurable. Some ministries have fared well, while others have found it more difficult.
According to Kulbergs, the most challenging issue has been determining the criteria for measuring task completion – whether it is a Cabinet decision, legislative amendments, specific regulations, or a submitted plan. Furthermore, the fiscal impact of task implementation is a key consideration.
Kulbergs added that progress on ministers' priority tasks will be evaluated at least once a month. He had instructed each minister to prepare three tasks they are ready to accomplish during this government. It is recalled that the new government, led by Kulbergs and consisting of the United List, National Alliance, New Unity, and the Union of Greens and Farmers, was approved by the Saeima on May 28.
