At a press conference on Thursday, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) addressed a question about why Latvia had not been invited to a NATO meeting held in Poland.

Kulbergs said that the United States discusses matters concerning NATO's future with the Baltic states — Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia — through other formats as well, not solely through the meeting in question held in Poland.

The prime minister did not elaborate further on what these other formats of discussion involve or what they cover. The question about Latvia's absence from the meeting was raised during the press conference, and Kulbergs' response was aimed at addressing concerns over Latvia possibly being left out of NATO-related discussions.
