Ministry of Culture suspends project of association 'I Want to Help Refugees'

The Ministry of Culture, based on an opinion from the Ministry of the Interior, has suspended a project of the association 'I Want to Help Refugees' under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

The Ministry of Culture (MoC) has decided to suspend a project implemented by the association 'I Want to Help Refugees' (Gribu palīdzēt bēgļiem). The decision is based on an opinion provided by the Ministry of the Interior. The project is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). Its title is 'Cultural Diversity Festival as a promoter of co-creation and integration'. Lita Kokale, head of the MoC Public Relations Department, stated that the suspension was made on the basis of the said opinion. Further details regarding the reasons for the decision have not been disclosed.
