Kristīne Luīze Avotiņa’s solo exhibition 'Source of Strength' opens at Ola Foundation
From July 3 to October 3, the Ola Foundation in Riga will host an exhibition of recent paintings by Latvian artist Kristīne Luīze Avotiņa, featuring flowers as the central motif.

The exhibition 'Source of Strength' (Spēka avots) by Kristīne Luīze Avotiņa opens today, July 3, at the Ola Foundation cultural space (Oglu iela 12a, Riga) and runs until October 3. The show presents works created over the past months, with flowers as the central theme.
Avotiņa’s painting style is known for its nuanced color sense, poetic mood, and ability to transform everyday subjects into emotionally rich experiences. In this exhibition, flowers are not merely a natural motif but serve as a metaphor for fragility, resilience, and constant change. The exhibition title emerged from the creative process itself: daily discipline, concentration, and repeated return to painting became a way for the artist to find balance, energy, and joy.
Kristīne Luīze Avotiņa is a graduate of the Latvian Academy of Arts. Since the early 2000s, she has regularly held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Latvia and abroad. Her works are part of the Swedbank art collection and private collections in Latvia, France, Norway, Luxembourg, and other European countries.
