According to information provided by the Riga Municipal Police to LETA, water temperatures have been measured at the city's designated swimming areas. The warmest water is currently found in Ķīšezers (Kish Lake) and Bābelītis (Babelitis Lake), where the temperature has reached 22 degrees Celsius.

Slightly cooler is the Daugava River near Lucavsala, at 21 degrees. At Ķīpsala, Rumbula, and Bolderāja quarry, the water temperature is around 20 degrees.

Seaside locations are cooler: in Vecāķi and Vakarbuļļi, it is 17 degrees, while Daugavgrīva registers only 16 degrees.

Data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre show that with warmer weather, water temperatures across the country are rising. On Thursday morning, the Daugava River had temperatures between 20 and 22°C, rivers in Latgale between 15 and 21°C. In Zemgale and Kurzeme, rivers ranged from 17 to 22°C, while in Vidzeme it was slightly cooler at 14–19°C.

Lakes and reservoirs have warmed to 18–22°C, and the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga coastlines show 15–20°C.

Forecasts indicate dry and warm weather in the coming days, so water will continue to warm up.
