“Kursk” group mocks Russian claims of capturing rear village in Sumy region
The Ukrainian military group “Kursk” has refuted Russian propaganda claims that the village of Ivolzhanske in Sumy region was captured, stating it remains firmly under Ukrainian control deep in the rear.

Ukrainian forces deny Russian disinformation
The “Kursk” group of forces stated that information spread by Russian propagandists about the alleged capture of the village of Ivolzhanske in Sumy region does not correspond to reality. According to Ukrainian military data, the village is under full control of Ukraine’s defense forces and is located deep behind Ukrainian positions.
“There are no assault actions or enemy presence in this area. Reports of battles involving the 71st brigade are yet another manipulation by Russian staff fantasizers, who randomly pick names of Ukrainian units and enter them on a map, drawing arrows for their ‘advances’,” the statement reads.
The group ironically noted that Russian generals, “tired of getting their noses bloodied in their own borderlands,” are now moving the front line “in the only way available to them – with a keyboard.” “While the enemy travels kilometers in the imagination of Russian officers, the only territory they truly control is their own news feed,” the “Kursk” group said.
As a reminder, on June 24, the Russian army attacked a cinema in the center of Konotop in Sumy region with a drone, injuring four people, including an 11-year-old child.
