The Palestinian village of Qusra in the occupied West Bank continues to face pressure from extremist Israeli settlers seeking to drive local families from their land. Among the tactics used are cutting off villagers' access to essential resources such as food and water.

A return from the United States

Louai Abo Ridi, a Palestinian-American who owns a house in Qusra, has traveled back to the village from Ohio. He says he fears for the safety of himself and his family, citing reports that the Israeli army has failed to act against settler violence targeting Palestinian residents.

Tensions on the ground

Footage compiled by FRANCE 24 international affairs editor Philip Turle shows visible tension between Abo Ridi and Israeli soldiers stationed in the village. The situation in Qusra reflects a broader pattern across the West Bank, where Palestinian communities report escalating pressure and violence from settlers, while Israeli military forces are frequently accused of turning a blind eye to such incidents.
