Kuwait says electrical and desalination plant damaged in Iranian attack
Iran launched multiple air strikes on Gulf neighbors in retaliation for US strikes, with Kuwait reporting damage to a power and water desalination plant.

Kuwait announced on Friday that an Iranian attack had caused extensive damage to an electrical power and water desalination plant. The announcement came after Iran carried out several air strikes on its Gulf neighbors in response to US air strikes overnight.
The United States and Iran continued to exchange attacks for a sixth consecutive day on Thursday, battling over the strategic Strait of Hormuz despite a call from Pakistan to resume negotiations.
Fatih Birol, head of the International Energy Agency, warned on Thursday that if the US and Iran do not soon cooperate to improve oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, the world should be concerned about energy security.
Additionally, Syria reported on July 16 that it had foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon by seizing a shipment containing missiles at its border with Iraq.
