The Fourth of July weekend is the final opportunity this summer to snag discounts on grills and griddles. New product lines are out, and testing has revealed top performers.

Recteq Flagship 1600

This pellet smoker and grill (8/10, WIRED Recommends) features Wi-Fi, 1,600 square inches of cooking space, and a 40-pound hopper. Its key advantage is even heat distribution, with only a 7-degree Fahrenheit difference from center to edge. The app is somewhat buggy but offers 30-day cook history. Currently priced at $1,350, it has a $250 discount.

Traeger Flatrock Griddle

The 3-burner Traeger Flatrock is the best griddle tested, with a U-shaped burner design, cold-rolled steel, and excellent wind shielding. The 2-burner version is the best deal at $699 (save $100). The new Irontop budget line (4-burner, 36-inch model at $599) offers better wind shielding and leg stability, but the simpler burner creates noticeable hotspots.

Weber Spirit E-210

This gas grill has been WIRED's pick for best gas grill for years—simple, compact, and affordable. It offers even temperature and easy propane adjustment. Now $399 ($50 off).

Weber Slate 3-Burner Griddle

The Weber Slate griddles are pre-seasoned and rust-resistant. While the Traeger edges it on heat evenness, the Slate provides a great cooking experience with a spacious workstation and add-on accessories. The 28-inch, 3-burner model is $549 ($50 off).

Traeger Woodridge Pro

This pellet grill (8/10, WIRED Recommends) was the previous top pick. It is easy to clean, quick to reach ideal temperature, and large enough for two pork bellies at once. At $1,000, it has a $150 discount.
