WIRED Reviews has tested hundreds of MagSafe accessories, including wallets, tripods, and charging docks. The following list gathers current favorites that attach to the back of a device to add style or convenience. The guide was last updated in August 2026, with new products from SanDisk, Insta360, and ShiftCam added after accuracy checks.

What Is MagSafe?

MagSafe is Apple's accessory system built into the iPhone 12 through iPhone 17 lineups, except the iPhone SE and iPhone 16e. A ring of magnets on the back helps wireless charging deliver power more precisely and quickly than older chargers, and it can also hold accessories like wallets or mounts.

Most Android phones do not support MagSafe natively. However, magnetic cases are available for some models, including Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices, and many MagSafe accessories work with those cases. The Qi2 wireless charging standard, based on MagSafe, adds a magnetic power profile, so newer Qi2 phones can use the same accessories without a case. Samsung's Galaxy S25 series is “Qi2 Ready,” requiring a magnetic case, while the Google Pixel 10 series is the first to fully support Qi2.

Recommended Accessories

PopSockets Phone Grip is the best phone grip: sturdy, holds the phone securely even in water, and its magnets allow easy removal for wireless charging. WIRED notes that PopSockets' new Low Pro grips are less comfortable.

Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) is the simplest portable charger. With a 10,000-mAh battery, it can nearly fully recharge an iPhone twice. It supports Qi2 and delivers 15W charging, includes a kickstand and an LED charge indicator, and recharges over USB-C.

Apple MagSafe Charger (2 m) now comes with a two-meter cable, making it easier to use while charging. It is Qi2-certified, so it works with current iPhones and compatible with upcoming Qi2 Android phones.

Ridge Power Bank is a 10,000-mAh magnetic battery with a kickstand and a small digital display. It can charge a phone, a smartwatch, and older devices, making it handy for weekend trips.

Smartish Side Hustle Wallet fits up to three cards (or two metal cards) and lets you push cards out through a side gap without removing the wallet from the phone. It survived vigorous shaking and comes in vegan leather.

Zagg Snap Selfie Suction Mount is the best suction-cup mount. It has two sizes of outer suction cups plus a MagSafe ring and six extra suction cups on the phone side. It held a phone for about 90 minutes during testing.

Moft Snap Flow is a small notepad that attaches to the back of a phone. It includes a pen, and you can buy replacement notes or swap in sticky notes.

Belkin 3-in-1 Qi2 Charging Stand charges an iPhone at 15W, plus an Apple Watch and AirPods, while taking up little desk space. Belkin also sells a pad version, but the stand's floating design is preferred.

Casetify Snappy Mirror Grip Stand is a compact mirror with a fold-out design for different angles or use as a kickstand. It is not ideal as a grip, so it's better kept in a bag.

SanDisk Creator Phone SSD comes in 1TB and 2TB capacities, attaches to the back of a phone, and has a short USB-C cable. It supports write speeds up to 950MB/s and can record 4K video at 60fps directly to the drive.
