Lapiņš delivers two assists as his Ostrava club suffers another heavy defeat in Czech floorball
The Czech floorball club FBC Ostrava, which fields three Latvian players, has suffered another heavy loss in the Superliga, while Florbal Chodov has moved to the top of the standings.

In round four of the Czech floorball Superliga, FBC Ostrava — whose roster includes three Latvian players — suffered a heavy 4:13 home defeat to Florbal Vary Bohemians. The match started evenly, with the hosts briefly taking the lead after Karel Petrák's goal in the eighth minute, but the visitors fought back and reclaimed the lead in the final seconds of the first period. That setback appeared to rattle the Ostrava side, as Petrák completed his hat-trick early in the second period, putting the visitors ahead 5:2.
Over the remaining two periods the hosts managed only one goal in each, both scored by Patrik Vikopil off assists from Valters Lapiņš. The visiting team, meanwhile, kept scoring heavily, adding seven more goals in the third period alone. Petrák finished with three goals and two assists, while Filip Forman scored once and added four assists.
Among the Latvians, Valters Lapiņš played just under 21 minutes and recorded two assists, though he finished the match with a negative plus-minus rating. Rūdolfs Vilmanis played 22 minutes without scoring and had the worst rating on the team, while Jēkabs Berkolts was on the ice for just over 16 minutes.
In the standings — where teams have played different numbers of matches due to involvement in European club competitions — Florbal Chodov has taken the top spot after an 8:4 away win over last-placed Hattrick Brno. Marek Vavra led the scoring with four goals in that match.
Prague's Sparta also continued its strong form, winning 10:5 away against Česka Lipa to collect a maximum nine points from three matches. Florbal Usti picked up its first point of the season, losing in overtime to Bulldogs Brno.
