Lasnamäe Resident Hands Over €30,000 in Cash to Scammers
A woman living in Tallinn's Lasnamäe district fell victim to fraud, losing €30,000 in cash to scammers posing as medical company and police officials.

A resident of the Lasnamäe district in Tallinn has become the latest victim of fraud. According to the Estonian police, on July 17, the woman received a phone call from scammers who pretended to be employees of a medical company and the police. On the same day, she handed over €30,000 in cash to an unknown person who arrived at her home.
Police data indicate that during the first five months of 2026, the average daily damage caused by fraudsters was approximately €85,000.
