The Lasnamäe District Government has announced that on July 19, Pae Park will host a public screening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. Such screenings have been held in the park since 2018 and have become a summer tradition for many sports enthusiasts.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with pre-match sports games and entertainment, including building towers from boxes and trying a climbing wall. The final, set to take place in East Rutherford, USA, will begin at 10 p.m. and be shown on a large screen. Food stalls will be available on site.

Organizers advise attendees to dress according to the weather, as the event is outdoors. In good weather, it is recommended to bring a blanket for comfortable viewing. However, true football fans will not be deterred even by rain – the screening will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.

The district authorities emphasize that the event is family-friendly and ask all participants to treat each other with respect. Notably, this year screenings at Vabaduse Square have resumed after a pause, and Pae Park previously also showed the Euro 2024 final.
