The council of the state-owned energy company Latvenergo has extended the mandates of its top executives. Mārtiņš Čakste will continue as chairman of the board, while Dmitrijs Juskovecs remains a board member. Both will serve a new five-year term beginning on January 3, 2027.

The company's board consists of five members, with the remaining three unaffected by these changes. Čakste and Juskovecs will continue their roles under the new term agreement.

This decision ensures continuity in leadership for Latvia's key energy provider, leveraging Čakste's experience and strategic direction. Latvenergo plays a critical role in the country's energy sector, handling generation, transmission, and supply.
