Latvian Language Agency Invites Students to Thank Their Language Teachers
Until June 19, 2026, students and parents can submit a questionnaire with five reasons why their Latvian language and literature teacher is the best. The five winners will receive a set of books.
The Latvian Language Agency has launched a campaign to celebrate Latvian language and literature teachers. Students and their parents are encouraged to acknowledge the teachers who have helped them understand the beauty of the language and supported their achievements.
To participate, an online form must be completed by June 19, 2026, listing five facts that demonstrate why the teacher deserves recognition. The five most heartfelt entries will be selected.
Winning teachers will receive a set of five books from the Agency, including: "Vārdu paslēpes jeb Krokodils un omletes orķestris", "101 ideja lasītprasmes veicināšanai", "Ideju enciklopēdija latviešu valodas apguvei", "Valoda – kultūras instruments", and "Mīļojošie vārdi. Tu man patīc. Tu man ar’".
