Danish ice hockey champion Herning Blue Fox has announced a contract extension with Latvian goaltender Janis Fecers until the end of next season. The 20-year-old joined the club four seasons ago, and this will be his fourth season with the Danish team.

Last season, Fecers and the club won the Danish championship, sweeping the finals 4-0. Blue Fox won 56 of 62 games during the season. In the playoffs, Fecers played 14 games, and he appeared in 33 regular-season matches. Overall, he posted a 91% save percentage.

Before moving to Denmark, Fecers played for HS Riga in Latvia's Optibet Hockey League. At the 2024 U20 World Championship, he was one of Latvia's three goaltenders but did not see game action. The team also features 38-year-old Latvian defenseman Oskars Cibulskis.
