A Latvian woman, Ilze Rudzīte, has appealed to the public for help finding her son, Toms Jansons, after the family lost contact with him nearly a year ago. She shared her request in the Facebook group "Latvieši UK" (Latvians in UK).

Ilze explains that at first she tried to respect her son's wish for time and space, but later attempted to reach out to him herself. Those attempts, however, have not succeeded.

Disappeared from social media

According to his mother, Toms can no longer be reached through any of the usual channels — his WhatsApp and Messenger accounts are no longer accessible, and the email address he previously used is no longer active either.

Ilze says that she and the rest of the family are deeply worried and simply want to know that Toms is safe and does not need their help. Based on the last information available to the family, he may still be somewhere in England.

Call to get in touch

Ilze is asking anyone who knows Toms Jansons' current whereabouts, or who has seen him recently, to contact her privately.

In her post, the mother also addressed her son directly, expressing hope that he might send even a brief message letting her know he is fine. She is urging people to share the post in the hope that it reaches someone who could help re-establish contact with Toms or provide information about where he is.
