Latvia Calls for Donations to Equip Women Serving in the Ukrainian Army
Over 76,500 women currently serve in the Ukrainian armed forces, many lacking anatomically adapted gear. Latvian society is urged to support the NGO "Zemliachky" in its efforts.

Situation in the Ukrainian Army
More than 76,500 women are currently serving in the Ukrainian armed forces, with approximately 10,000 in active combat zones. Many are still forced to use equipment not designed for the female anatomy — heavy body armor, men's uniforms, and other male-oriented gear.
NGO's Work
Since 2022, the Ukrainian non-governmental organization "Zemliachky" has been regularly supplying women in the army with militarily adapted equipment tailored to their anatomy. The organization works to improve the safety and comfort of female soldiers on the front line.
Support from Latvia
Now the Latvian public also has a chance to help. A call for donations has been made to provide women serving in the Ukrainian army with the necessary equipment suited to their body structure. Donations will be channeled to "Zemliachky" activities.
