Free screenings mark Baltic Film Days in Latvia

This week sees the tenth edition of Baltic Film Days, a special cinema event held across the three Baltic countries. As part of the initiative, audiences in each country are offered free screenings of carefully selected films from their neighboring states.

What Latvian audiences will see

This year, viewers in Latvia will have the chance to watch four films in total — two from Lithuania and two from Estonia. The aim of the event is to give local audiences a taste of what filmmakers in neighboring countries are creating, while also offering the experience of watching films in a cinema setting.

The initiative has become an annual tradition, allowing residents of the three Baltic states to get acquainted with each other's cinematic work and strengthening cultural ties across the region.
